Yew live edge wood side table

£195.00

Cut from a single slab of characterful yew, this Live Edge Table carries the raw honesty of the tree it came from. The grain twists and flows in deep amber tones, marked with the natural knots, curves, and colour shifts that make yew such a striking, storied wood. No two pieces ever look the same — and this one wears its individuality proudly.

The live edge is left untouched, following the tree’s original line. It’s rugged, organic, and full of movement, giving the table a presence that feels more like a piece of landscape than furniture. Sanded smooth and finished by hand, the surface keeps its natural toughness while revealing the rich warmth that yew is known for.

Sturdy, grounded, and built to last, this table suits spaces where authenticity matters. It’s the kind of piece that becomes part of the room’s character — a slab of British woodland brought indoors, ready for everyday use, shared meals, and years of stories.

What is live edge wood?

Also known as natural edge wood, live edge wood got its name because of the raw, untrimmed edge of the wood, quite literally the “live edge” of the tree. Other wood forms have the live, natural edges removed, but this is where live edge wood stands out. We remove the bark from the live edge beforehand, as it’s the most fragile part and won’t stay intact over time.
